Paddle sensors
Working principle
Rotary blade monitor
A paddle driven by a small
electric motor rotates continuously inside a silo or tank. As soon as the
paddled is covered with a powder
or a viscous fluid the opposing torque causes the motor to rotate
in its housing, triggers a
reed contact and switches the motor off. When the level of the material falls
the motor returns to its
starting position and begins to rotate again.

Area of application
Powders, granular and
viscous media such as plastic granules, grain, salt, wood chips,
fodder material, milk,
lubricants, oil, slurry, honey and syrup.
Temperature
Maximum 120 ° C (medium) and
80 ° C (housing).
Pressure
Only atmospheric.
Materials
Paddle and shaft made of
stainless steel or aluminium.
Output
Changeover contact
Fitting and Types
Over-tank, side flange or screw-in thread. Various
paddle designs for a wide variety of media.
Maximum probe length 1000 mm - 6000
mm depending on type.
